Is That The Queen Driving A Ford Transit?

On Friday, armed with Lydia's patented 'Bag-o-Wigs' and Lowri's bright pink camera, we hit the streets of Manchester and Salford to film a promotional video for our forthcoming Queen's Jubilee performance at Islington Mill. If you were in our vicinity, you may well have seen HRH driving Contact's van (with Princess Kate and our producer Roxy riding shotgun), followed closely by Wills and Lady Di in Fiat Punto.

After some vehicle-height-restriction drama in a car park, being approached by the NewsRound crew in the Northern Quarter and a dash round Sainsbury's for some quiche, we headed over to Islington Mill to be joined by our lovely eggs-tras for the afternoon. After hearing about it on Twitter, even Prince Charles dropped in...

He helped us to sellotape some glow-sticks to a black curtain,

then swore us to secrecy until after the final edit (probably to reduce the risks of mass hysteria). So, for now, our lips are sealed, but we can't wait to share the finished video with you!

  1. The best bit was when a corgi waved at the Queen from the back seat of a 43 bus. Eggs Royale!
